Kitch-iti-kipi spring is one of Michigans Upper Peninsula's major tourist attractions and is also Michigans largest natural freshwater spring. The name means big cold water and is sometimes referred to as The Big Spring. Its original name was the "Mirror of Heaven", given to it by the early Native Americans. The spring has a raft you can hop on which has a glass floor in the middle. Through the Looking-Glass you can peer to the bottom of the 40 feet deep oval spring. The water is crystal clear!
Kitch-iti-kipi is approximiately 15 miles northwest of Manistique, MI. It is located right off Sawmill Road near Langes Bay. It is just south of Palms Book State Park!
